Friday
Friday we went up to New Hampshire to spend some time at Mere's parent's cottage.  Crissy and her girls joined us and we took the all kids down to the beach.  They all had a great time.
Emily heads out of the water and Michael splashes Sydney and Paige.
That night, Melissa and Fred had a party for Jess.  There were lots of family and friends there to celebrate Dr. Jess.
Water fight!!!
Sydney and Michael had a blast while they had a water fight!  But it looks like Michael won.  LOL!
We thought it would be cute to dress the girls in matching outfits (that they got from Gramma and Pepere).  Later on, they went with Auntie Mimi (Mary) and Uncle Joe to the movies to see Madagascar.
Then Michael came home from school...
But first, what else, but a dip in the pool.  Paige wasn't all that interested in getting wet, but Sydney was.
We actually did more than just sit around all day and watch the kids in the pool, but that's what we took pictures of.  LOL!
A little swing before going down the slide - what a monkey!
Sydney gives Paige a little push (above left), before she gets on the swing herself (above right)

Being monkeys.  LOL!

Funny faces!

We asked Mary to do a photo shoot for us, so she took lots of pics of our family.  She also took some pics of Melissa's and Megan's families too (she actually had someone take a few of her and her daughter Stephanie, but somehow they didn't make it onto our disk's copy.  Hmmmm...).
Again, these are the favorites, so they are the bigger size.  More downsized pics follow.
That evening, Mary and Megan came over with their kids and Mary did a photo shoot of all the families.
We all went to Michael's "Fun Day" at his school.  His whole preschool class performed for all the parents (and aunties).  Unfortunately, we didn't have any pics of that because our camera was recording the video while Melissa's camera took the pics.  But we did get some adorable pics of the girls while Michael ran around with his class buddies.
Melissa snuck into this pic.  LOL!
We had lunch with Mere's friend Crissy and her two girls, Emily & Caroline.  Also joining us was Mere's sister Megan and her kids, Maddie & Colin.  But first, we caught these two giggling in the corner while they ate a munchkin doughnut.  Cuties!
After lunch, we headed to a local ice cream stand.  It boasts to be a farm, but there isn't more than a few token goats hanging out in a nearby fenced-in area.  LOL!  We took a walk around while we chatted.  The ice cream was yummy and the company was great.
The following pictures were taken by Mere's sister Mary.  She is a professional photographer, so we must give credit where credit is due.  She takes beautiful pictures (as you will see in some more pics later on).  These are our favorites, so they are shown here as big as possible.  The others have been sized down a bit.

This webpage doesn't do these pics justice - the paper photographs are AWESOME!
We got the girls dressed in their swim suits.  Then as they played, we just watched them with cold drinks by our side.  First the pool was filled, then the hose was connected to the sit n' spin.
The water was so cold, but they didn't care.  It didn't take them long to get completely wet.
Then back to the pool to do some swimming.
And back to the sit n' spin...  and so on and so on.
Our visit to Massachusetts
We arrived in Massachusetts late on Friday night.  A delayed connecting flight and 4 hours in the Charlotte, NC airport later, we arrived too late to visit with any family.  Mere spent Saturday with her sisters Mary and Melissa at a scrapbooking workshop.  Jess and Sydney spent the day with one of Jess' college friends.  On Sunday, Sydney and her cousin Paige had fun playing on the swings and in the kiddie pool.  The weather was beautiful and we got to catch up with my sisters.
Melissa has a great back yard with a super swing set.  The girls took turns on the other two swings, but they liked to swing together too.
It wasn't long before the two were practically attached at the hip.  LOL!
"I can see you so much better with sunglasses on!"
Paige gives Sydney a ride on her Big Wheel before a walk around the block.  When we got back from our walk, the girls wanted to go swimming!!
